The Vertical splitboard adheres to a construction philosophy of reduced materials for increased performance, speed, and lowest weight. A directional splitboard shape narrower than any other splitboard in the line, reducing the overall set-up weight and friction on snow, resulting in an energy-saving, faster hike to the top. In addition, the longer nose shape and slight setback offer a well-balanced float distribution allowing you to surf down the untracked powder you deserve.
Every little detail on this board has been challenged and re-designed. A new proprietary edge geometry saves 40% of weight compared to standard edges. The board's lightweight topsheet construction sheds 60% compared to the standard, another 20 % on the Sintered Speed Formula II Base. While the optimized insert pattern saves another 35% of steel compared to other insert patterns. Because on the way up, every gram counts!
The board's secret ingredient is Nitro's lightest Powerlite core to date. Koroyd, a patented tubular cell structure consisting of 95% air and a mix of low-density, selected wood, creates a powerful ride and lots of snap. The Diamond Laminate carbon fiber layup further reduces weight while adding precision and response and keeping the board lively and fast.

To get the most from your new Vertical Splitboard, take advantage of the pre-cut to-size Nitro x Kohla Vertical Skins that fit each Vertical board size perfectly. Vertical skins are constructed with 65% Mohair / 35% synthetic Nylon fiber mix to combine a low friction stride with maximum grip and durability. In addition, these skins feature Kohla's signature Fiber seal and Smart Glue Technologies to reduce water absorption and maintain a lasting performance in fast-changing conditions and over a long time.

Trüe Camber is good old standard camber, which provides the stability, and pop many shreds can ́t live without. The amount of snap and support you get from a cambered board is unrivalled by any other camber design. Our Trüe Camber varies between board models because each board is specifically designed for a certain terrain or type of riding, for example the Trüe Camber in our Pantera has a larger height for maximum response, while the Trüe Camber in our freestyle boards are lower to provide you with a more freestyle friendly flex, without losing the support and trust you need for stomping landings.
